Last Saturday, the Northampton and District Youth Alliance League witnessed an exceptional match-up: Welford Victoria FC's own U8 Sky Blue team versus their club counterparts, the U8 Maroon team.

This internal derby, a surprising twist from the league's fixture computer, turned into a delightful showcase of young talent.

Both teams, recent additions to Welford Victoria FC and graduates of the club's enthusiastic Wednesday training sessions, met on the field.

The atmosphere was electric and uniquely harmonious. With all the children being known to all the parents, the sidelines buzzed with support and encouragement for all children from all parties.

Witnessing this event was a delight, especially seeing both teams in Myriad Associates-sponsored kits, playing with remarkable skill and enthusiasm.
