We’re excited to launch a new tool to make your R&D tax relief claims even easier — our Advance Notification Form Checker.
For accounting periods beginning on or after 1 April 2023, some companies in the UK must submit an Advance Notification Form, also known as a claim notification form, to HMRC within six months of the end of the accounting period in which their R&D took place. Missing this deadline could mean losing out on valuable tax relief.
This is only applicable to companies that are claiming R&D tax credits for the first time or for those who have not made a R&D tax credit claim in the last three years.
Our new checker complies with HMRC’s additional ruling regarding amended CT600 submissions.
These rules can be quite tricky to understand and have a real impact on the validity of your claim.
Our Advance Notification Form checker helps you quickly verify:
It’s fast, simple, and designed to help innovative businesses stay compliant and maximise their R&D tax benefits.
Myriad’s CEO, Barrie Dowsett, said:
“We found that many companies ringing up weren’t aware that they even needed to submit a claim notification form, let alone what their deadline was. We didn’t see any other checking tool available and said, enough is enough. We hope this tool makes it easier for companies to make valid claims and benefit from this valuable government incentive.”
Try our Advance Notification Form Checker now and take the guesswork out of compliance.
HMRC has launched a new R&D eligibility tool (Sept 2025). See how the checker works, its limits, and how to prepare your R&D tax relief claim.
HMRC’s 2023-24 R&D tax credit stats reveal a 26% drop in claims, with SMEs hit hardest as compliance rises and larger RDEC claims dominate.
