We're looking for a confident, self-motivated Corporate Tax Associate to join the Tax Incentives division.  You’ll be based primarily at your home office with occasional travel to meet clients.

Myriad is a leading corporate tax incentives and grant bid writing specialist with offices in the UK, Ireland and France.  This corporate tax incentives division provides consultancy services for R&D Tax Relief and Creative Sector Tax Relief claims.  The cross-disciplinary team of Corporate Tax Associates and Technical Analysts work in harmony to ensure all claims are accurate, detailed and optimised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working alongside the Technical Analysts you will provide costing and tax advice to clients. This includes analysing costs, completing costing schedules, Company Tax Returns (CT600) and tax computations.
  • Submit final tax claim reports on behalf of clients to the HMRC.
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, including HMRC, to ensure tax claims are processed efficiently and questions and enquiries are answered promptly.
  • Be an ambassador for the business and ensure the ethos of ‘delivering excellence’ is upheld and maintained at all times. This will include ensuring that all interactions and services performed for the client are deemed clear, simple, smooth and timely.
  • Be actively involved in internal projects as and when requested.

Experience & Skills Required

Candidates for the role of Corporate Tax Associate must be confident, self-motivated, accounting or tax professionals with at least 3 years of experience in general tax compliance or tax planning matters.

Candidates must also be:

  • At least part qualified with a recognised tax or accounting body.
  • Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
  • Highly presentable, personable, a strong communicator, and comfortable meeting clients at the senior executive level.
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple client claims.
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Excel, including proficient use of pivot tables and other data tools.
  • Experience with tax incentives such as R&D Tax Relief, and Creative Tax Relief would be ideal, but not essential as training and mentoring will be provided.
  • Willingness to travel to client meetings as and when required.

  • Basic salary of £35k to £40k (depending on experience)
